Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian Curry Chef . The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead culinary operations, supervise kitchen staff, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating innovative menus, overseeing daily kitchen activities, and maintaining a welcoming environment for both staff and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
  • Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and special offerings
  • Ensure all food served aligns with health and safety guidelines, including HACCP protocols
  • Assist in serving guests when required, ensuring excellent customer service is provided at all times
  • Lead by example in fostering a positive team environment centred on professionalism and hospitality

Experience

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Supervising experience in a culinary context is highly desirable
  • Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, cooking methods, and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to manage teams effectively
  • Demonstrated understanding of food safety standards and regulations
  • Experience in menu development and food innovation is advantageous
  • Familiarity with hospitality operations including serving guests and managing customer interactions
